E-bikes 2024: 7 new models with the FIT e-bike system


The year 2023 is just coming to an end, with the start of the 2024 season already approaching. The bicycle manufacturers are also working hard these days to launch the latest model generation in time for the new cycling year. To boost the anticipation of the next season even more, we look at the new e-bike models in the second part of our preview for 2024 (Part 1 was about FIT’s plans). Below we present seven new e-bikes that will soon cause a sensation – of course equipped with components from FIT.

1. FLYER Goroc TR:X

An innovative adventurer – under this motto FLYER presents the new Goroc TR:X. With its 60-millimeter-wide Schwalbe tires and its mountain bike-like geometry, the e-bike from the Swiss manufacturer feels extremely comfortable in terrain. At the same time, thanks to innovative lighting and rack solutions, it also makes a safe impression in the city. It is also equipped with the new Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU). This combines a wear-free motor and a 12-speed gearbox in a compact package, making the classic derailleur gears a thing of the past. In addition, the Goroc TR:X relies on a quiet, low-maintenance belt drive, which should further enhance the riding experience, as well as a 700-watt-hour battery. The colors are an eye-catcher: both the Curcuma Gloss and the Gentian Blue Gloss attract envious glances when stopping at the ice cream parlor.

2. OPIUM L-SERIES

The most reliable e-bike for commuting and long tours - this is what Opium aspires to with its S-Series. This is an extremely stylish all-round e-bike, which with its fully integrated design is bound to be an eye-catcher on every tour. The Model L is now the more affordable successor with a low entry. The S-Pedelec from Switzerland is equipped with a 1400 watt-hour battery. According to Opium's range calculation, the e-bike can achieve an estimated 200 kilometers. The concept also includes modern Supernova M99 Mini Pro lighting and an optional GPS tracker.

3. Kettler Pinniato FS Speed

Maximum speed, maximum battery capacity and maximum comfort – the new Pinniato FS Speed from Kettler can do it all. The German manufacturer’s speed pedelec relies, among other things, on the new Pinion MGU with twelve speeds. In addition, there is a FIT UltraCore battery with 960 watt-hours and a Mobie35 suspension fork from the damping specialist SR Suntour. The latter has an impressive 120 millimeters of travel, which means that the bike should handle well even on bumpy routes.

4. Hercules Prima 9E

Thick balloon tires and heaps of power under the hood – with the Prima E9, the German manufacturer Hercules brings moped flair to the e-bike world. With its special look, the S-Pedelec attracted a lot of attention at the last Eurobike trade fair in Frankfurt am Main in 2023, among others. it is equipped with, amongst other things, the new Pinion MGU with nine speeds. In addition, there is an external FIT Compact Core 800 battery with 800 watt-hours, a sturdy rack and wide moped-style fenders.

5. i:SY XXL P12 ZR

Compact, easy-care, stylish – these attributes best describe the new i:SY XXL P12 ZR. The compact e-bike from the German brand will impress you with the integrated Pinion MGU, which is combined with an easy-care belt drive. Switching gears is done electronically via a button. The appearance of the i:SY e-bike is rounded off by 60-millimeter-wide Schwalbe tires, the FIT Comfort display with 3.5 inches and a FIT Compact Core battery with 800 watt-hours. Versatile: the Speedlifter Twist stem allows not only height adjustability but also vertical rotation of the handlebars by 90 degrees – without any tools.

6. Bulls VUCA series

FIT e-bike doubles as an e-MTB. An excellent example of this is the new Bulls VUCA series. The different models are powered by the new 12-speed Pinion MGU. Added to this is the powerful UltraCore battery with up to 960 watt-hours and the innovative 4-link swingarm suspension. Connective: using the app, the bike can be paired with a Sigma display.

7. Simplon Kagu

State-of-the-art technology and maximum functionality – this is how Simplon advertises its new Kagu. The SUV e-bike from the Austrian bike company comes with the Motor.Gearbox.Unit from Pinion and a carbon frame that promises a good ratio of lightweight, rigidity and durability. A sturdy rack, a low-maintenance belt drive and a fully integrated design further underline the pedelec’s all-round capabilities. Awesome: with its maximum system weight of 160 kilograms, the Kagu is a workhorse for trekking, traveling and transporting heavy loads and luggage.
