ABOUT FIT E-BIKE CONTROL APP

à Unfortunately, you received the wrong FIT Key Card from your dealer. The Key Card is the identity card of your e-bike and therefore unique. There is only one matching Key Card for the respective e-bike. Please request the correct Key Card from the retailer where you purchased your e-bike.

Make sure that...

  • your e-bike is switched on.
  • Bluetooth is switched on on your smartphone.
  • The E-Bike Control App can access your camera (QR scanner).

Restart the app and try again.

Make sure that...

  • your e-bike is switched on.
  • Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone.
  • your smartphone is not in energy saving mode. This may interfere with the Bluetooth connection under certain circumstances.

If the 3 tips above do not help, restart the app.

Contact your FIT dealer, who can issue you with a new key card. Please note that this may take a few days.

You haven’t added an e-bike to your user account yet, so the information and the image are missing.

Register your e-bike in the  «Garage» menu by clicking on the « + » icon.

No, you can add only 1 e-bike to your account. Go to the «E-bike» menu and start the registration process by clicking on the «+» icon.

For example, you may see a different battery in your pass than the one you ordered. Our e-bike pass is based solely on the production data for your e-bike. It does not show subsequent changes. But don’t worry, this has no effect on your warranty or guarantee claims.

Define waypoints in the navigation to plan your desired route. This is easy to do by using the «+»  icon when creating a route.

Alternatively, you can link the komoot app to the FIT E-Bike Control app (under Settings – komoot) to define and follow your routes with even greater precision.

The e-bike and FIT Key Card cannot be shared yet with other people. If someone else swipes the FIT Key Card and connects to the e-bike, it will be deleted from the previous user’s account. If this has happened by mistake, you will need to add the e-bike to your account again by clicking on the « + »  icon in the « e-bikes » menu in the app.

Select your e-bike from the «E-bikes» menu. Click on «Remove this e-bike from my account»  under «E-bike settings». The e-bike has now been deleted from your account. Important: give the FIT Key Card for your e-bike to the new owner.

As soon as the e-bike is added to another account, all personal data linked to that e-bike will be deleted. The new user is therefore unable to access this data.

The position of your e-bike will only be displayed once you have connected to your e-bike via the app for at least 30 seconds. The position at which the app and e-bike were connected for the last time is saved.

If you put together your own route in the map menu, you can save it as a favorite by clicking on the star icon.

As soon as you have registered and connected your e-bike in the app, you can use both functions free of charge.

Some smart phone models have a screen lock that prevents the screen from rotating automatically when the device is rotated. This has to be deactivated so that the drive screen appears automatically after rotation.

Make sure your e-bike’s wheels turn briefly. This activates the sensors and you can see the tire pressure.

From 2019 onward, Huawei smartphones do not have Google services, so our app cannot be officially downloaded. Even if the installation succeeds through hacking, the app will not work properly. Smartphones from 2019 are…

  • P50
  • Mate X2
  • P40 and p40 Pro
  • Mate 40
  • Mate 30
  • Mate X
  • Honor 30

...and all Huawei smartphones manufactured after 2020.

You can only do this using the FIT E-Bike Control app. You can use the FIT app to connect to your Komoot account. This will give you access to the planned tours. Then start your Komoot tour directly using the FIT app. You can find more information about connecting and navigating with Komoot here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pAK8LReC2U

Please note: Since February 2025, Komoot has changed its guidelines for using its maps in other apps. Since then, a Komoot Premium subscription as well as the purchase of the corresponding maps are required.

The FIT app is designed to be used with the Internet. However, as of FIT app version 1.13.0, short Internet outages or poor reception are no longer a problem – it is also possible to start the FIT app without Internet reception and thus also lock and unlock the e-bike in a dead spot, for example.

You can find the latest version of the FIT E-Bike Control app in the App Store or Google Play Store.

You can navigate public and private routes as well as routes planned for friends in the FIT E-Bike Control app as long as you have the corresponding map material on Komoot. This is possible with app version 1.13.0 or higher.

Please note: Change «Completed routes» to «Planned» to run them in the FIT app.

Please note: Since February 2025, Komoot has changed its guidelines for using its maps in other apps. Since then, a Komoot Premium subscription as well as the purchase of the corresponding maps are required.

If you have paid for a Lifetime option, a refund is unfortunately not possible. If you have purchased a subscription, it will continue to run for the duration of the contract. After the subscription expires, the functions are then automatically available free of charge.

Note: As a user, you can contact Apple or Google directly and ask for a refund of the subscription costs. Whether and to what extent a refund is possible depends on their goodwill. Unfortunately, FIT has no influence on this.

There are different options for this:

  • Comfort and Compact displays: For this, you need the USB-C charging socket with dovetail for insertion into the mount. However, if the display is permanently integrated into the stem, the cable cannot be attached. This requires either the variant with clip, which is inserted directly under the display or (if access is not possible) even using a Y-cable on the motor. In the latter case, approval from the e-bike manufacturer is mandatory.
  • Remote Display & Master Nodes: For this you need the USB-C charging socket with long cable, clip and Y-cable on the motor. This requires approval from the e-bike manufacturer.
  • Wireless Charger Quad Lock: This allows you to simply attach your smartphone to the Quad Lock and charge it without a cable.

Track my Ride

When you are connected to the e-bike, start a recording in the overview using the Start button. Alternatively, you can start the function directly on the Drive Screen at the bottom left.

You can end the recording by clicking the Finish button either in the overview or on the Drive Screen. Please note: It is only possible to record and save a trip if your journey time has been at least 2 minutes.

You can only start a recording if you are connected to the e-bike. However, you can also end and save a trip later. You don’t need to be connected to the e-bike to do this.

Recording is always made as long as you are connected to the e-bike and your e-bike is moving (speed greater than 0). This is also displayed visually in the app. You can take a break at any time and then continue your trip. As long as you do not end the trip, it will be saved in the same trip folder. You can take a maximum break of 24 hours. If you only continue after 24 hours, you can save the trip you made and start a new trip. Our tip: After a break, check whether you are connected to the app again. With Android systems in particular, the power settings may prevent the app from automatically reconnecting if your smartphone should run in the background.

The app must at least be open in the background. As long as the app is running in the background, your smartphone can be locked. Please make sure that the distance is not too far so that the Bluetooth connection to the e-bike remains.

You can view your recordings in detail in the app under Trips. Important key data is displayed there. If you want to see profiles or other key data, you can download the FIT file in the details of your recording and view routes etc. on a computer with a larger screen via third-party apps. Please note that many of these programs have their own filtering and calculation methods, which may differ slightly from our data. Example: We record the speed profile via a speed sensor; other programs often use GPS data for this purpose.

We only record when the speed of the e-bike is greater than 0 km/h. During this period, we scan once per second.

Of course. To do this, you need to pair your chest strap with the FIT app beforehand. If you are connected to the sensor, your heart rate is automatically recorded. When you end the trip, your average heart rate will be displayed under the trip details. This is determined only when actively pedaling. Please note: If you would like to see profiles, you can download the FIT file and view it with other programs.

Not directly. However, you can export the trip by downloading the FIT file. You can upload this to Komoot and save it as a planned trip. If you are connected to Komoot in the FIT app, you will find the planned tour and can use it for navigation. Please note: Komoot has changed its conditions and you need the Premium subscription to use it within the FIT E-Bike Control app.

Of course. Simply go to the details of this trip. If you click on the three dots, you will find the “Delete Trip” option.

Yes. To do this, click on the three dots in the trip details. You can rename the trip here.

When you start recording a trip, your trip will be reset in the e-bike system so that you can follow your data live on the Drive Screen or on your display. In addition: when you start a recording, your usual trip setting will be deactivated. For example: If your trip setting is normally “Once daily”, it will be set to “Off” when the recording is started. You can reconfigure this again in the app or on the display as soon as you have finished recording.

When you start a recording, the trip is set to zero and the trip settings to Off. This is necessary so that the trip data is not reset to zero during a break and your data does not become inconsistent. If you have not set the trip to Off, change it again afterwards. To do this, go to the e-bike settings in the app or change this directly on the display.

The Track my Ride function has been designed so that you have to start recording deliberately. This allows you to decide when to record and you keep full control.

This is currently not possible. You can download the FIT file in the trip details and manually upload it to third-party apps.

Many third-party apps used GPS data to collect data. In our system, the speed is recorded via the e-bike sensor and is independent of GPS data. Similarly, the total elevation gain is determined using the integrated barometer of the e-bike system and not using GPS data.

The average values displayed are determined only during active pedaling. Rolling phases are not taken into account.

Currently, you can only see whether recording is taking place directly in the app. The display does not show any information.

The Track my Ride function runs independently of navigation. You can start navigation and – if you want to record – you can of course do so by starting the Track my Ride function.

No. You can record even if you don’t have an Internet connection. Internet access is required if you would like to view the recorded trip later. It is not absolutely necessary during the trip, but it is generally recommended to use the app with Internet.

You can download a FIT file. In addition to GPS data (which a GPX file has), this also contains other data such as performance, pedaling frequency, etc. Most third-party providers can process the FIT file (e.g. Garmin, Strava, Komoot). If you absolutely need the GPX file, you can convert it using external programs.

In the FIT file, the total elevation gain is determined using our barometer sensor. The overall gain will be very accurate. If the total elevation gain in the FIT file is not accurate, this means that you have not set the elevation sensor. You can configure your current total elevation gain before the trip on the display or via the app in the e-bike settings.

The app may not have been constantly connected to the e-bike system. If you are using the app in the background, you should make sure that the app is reconnected to the e-bike after a break. Check your smartphone settings too. Make sure you give your smartphone permission to allow the app to continue running in the background without restrictions.

The minimum trip must be 2 minutes for it to be saved.

The app requires a stable Internet connection so that all trip data can be loaded and synchronized correctly. Please make sure you are connected to the mobile network or Wi-Fi. As soon as the connection is stable again, restart the app so that all trips can be updated automatically. Please note: While recording (during the trip), a poor Internet connection is not the end of the world. You can also record without Internet, but this is not recommended.

  • Position (longitude, latitude and altitude)
  • Heart rate (if the heart rate monitor is connected and you save the route)
  • Performance in watts by user
  • Pedaling frequency in rpm by user
  • Speed in km/h
  • Distance
  • Trip time in min
  • Calories burned
  • System-related data such as selected riding modes and battery consumption in Wh/min

The exact battery consumption depends on your smartphone (model, age, etc.). However, since Track my Ride records based on GPS data, consumption is certainly a little higher than when not recording. For longer recordings, it is a good idea to be able to charge your smartphone on the go.
