What do I have to do if I did not receive a FIT Key Card with my e-bike?

Why do I need the FIT Key Card ?

Each FIT Key Card is unique. You need it to connect your e-bike to your account via the FIT E-Bike Control app. Then you can control your e-bike using the FIT E-Bike Control app. The FIT Key Card is like a digital vehicle registration certificate. It serves as proof of ownership of a specific e-bike.

I can’t pair my e-bike with my account.

The app shows whether the scanned QR code of the FIT Key Card is valid. If the scanned QR code is valid, the app searches for the corresponding e-bike via Bluetooth. The e-bike must be in close proximity and switched on. The ID of the bike being sought is displayed on the smartphone: «Looking for e-bike ID number XXXXXXXXX». If the e-bike’s ID is not the same as the e-bike you want to pair, it will not be possible to find the e-bike. In other words: The FIT Key Card belongs to another e-bike. In cases where the e-bike ID is correct but the e-bike still cannot be paired, it usually helps to reinstal the app and delete the e-bike ID from the Bluetooth device list in the smartphone (via the smartphone’s settings). If you continue to experience problems, please contact your dealer.

Note for the user: Keep your card in a safe place, even after registering in the app. Each card is assigned specifically to one e-bike. It serves as the e-bike’s identity card and is required, for example, when reselling and handing over the e-bike to a new owner. The card is the access point for a secure connection between the e-bike and the app.

Note for specialist dealers when ordering a replacement: To link the new FIT Key Card ID to the e-bike, the e-bike must be connected to the FIT Maintenance Tool 2.0. The new ID can be entered and linked to the e-bike via the Support tab.
